Adelaide Festival has confirmed a last minute reshuffle for Unsound Adelaide this weekend, with UK outfit Babyfather stepping in to replace Nine Inch Nails’ Alessandro Cortini just days out from the celebration of experimental and unconventional sounds. Cortini was due to perform at Unsound’s opening night on Friday, but on the advice of doctors he will no longer be making the trip to Australia due to unspecified health issues. Stepping up to the plate in his absence is Babyfather, a side project of English producer, musician and Hype Williams and Graffiti Island member Dean Blunt. Along with prolific output under his own name, Blunt released a new mixtape under the Babyfather moniker in early February with an album due to land through the label of Unsound lineup peer Kode9 this April. Babyfather is the final addition to this year’s Unsound Adelaide lineup which now includes Fennesz, RP Boo, Paula Temple and Tralala Blip, plus a collaboration between Jóhann Jóhannsson and Adelaide’s own Zephyr Quartet.
