Lloyd Cole Returns to Break Our Hearts Again

Lloyd Cole Returns to Break Our Hearts Again

Smooth Brit-rock crooner Lloyd Cole is returning to Australian shores in January to tour the release of his new anthology, The Retrospective.

The predominantly acoustic tour follows in the wake of the 2015 release of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions Collected Recordings 1983-1989 but the anthology contains releases from until 1996; covering songs from both Cole’s Commotion days as well as those from his solo career which followed.

Cole served as front man of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, an English pop-band who held a comfortable presence atop the charts throughout the mid-eighties;  fondly known for releases such as Rattlesnakes and Brand New Friend in which Cole proved his ability to combine clever lyricism atop the melodic guitar and synth combination which saturated the sound of the eighties.
