Entries open for Drink Dine Design 2015

“Angela’s work has beauty and whimsy, but what really made it stand out was that element of unexpected surprise: it really triggers the imagination.”

JamFactory once again opens submissions for the phenomenal Drink Dine Design award. This $3000 prize recognises outstanding product design that enhances the experience of consuming food and wine. Drawing on South Australia’s rich wine and dining culture, the Drink Dine Design winner will be able to capture innovation and excitement in their product concept. Last year’s winner, Angela Giuliani, created an exquisite set of decorative pins for a chef’s jacket. “Angela’s work has beauty and whimsy, but what really made it stand out was that element of unexpected surprise: it really triggers the imagination,” says Alexander Lotersztain who judged the 2014 award alongside UniSA’s Andrew Wallace, JamFactory CEO Brian Parkes and The Adelaide Review’s Leanne Amodeo. Possible entries include furniture, glassware, textile, fashion, tableware, utensil, menu and lighting products. The winning designer will be presented with their award at the Hot 100 Wines South Australia launch on Thursday, December 3. Emerging designers from all around the globe are invited to enter, provided they are currently completing (or have completed within the last five years) a design training or study program in South Australia. Entries close on Tuesday, September 1. jamfactory.com.au
