Ulrica Trulsson ceramics launch at Regent Arcade

Ceramicist Ulrica Trulsson, winner of the JamFactory’s 2013 drink+dine+design South Australian Emerging Designer award, is bringing her special wares to the public this Friday. On November 14, Trulsson’s range will launch at Sarah Rothe Jewellery & Design in Adelaide’s Regent Arcade. Between 6 and 8pm, there will be opportunities to meet the artist and indulge in a glass of wine or two. Trulsson, since winning the JamFactory’s award last year, has gone on to exhibit locally at the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize, interstate at the Gold Coast International Ceramic Art Award and internationally at Heatwave in Manila (Philippines). Originally from Sweden, Trulsson made her way to Adelaide via Scotland and Melbourne, with her various homes being reflected in the style of her work. Her ceramics use a number of different clays to create organic speckling and patterning, which is developed further in the firing process. Her functional vessels are always designed with smooth, ergonomic lines that make them a pleasure to hold.
