PARK(ing) Day hits the streets of Adelaide today, and as one of the world’s largest iterations of the event, it stands to reason you’ll need a map to get around. CodeFish Studio has designed a sure-fire way of not getting lost in a handy little app. With a live guided tour, the app points out where you are and whose parking space is coming up next. The parks are listed by number, so check out the maps below for where to start. Not only is it a tour guide, the app also gives you the opportunity to give each space a star rating out of five. The scores will be collated and determine the winner of The Adelaide Review People’s Choice Award.

What is PARK(ing) Day

PARK(ing) Day emerged out of a creative arts group in San Francisco in 2005. They thought that using a parking meter was a bit like renting public space, so why not redecorate while you’re there? Nine years on, PARK(ing) Day is a growing global design initiative, and Adelaide is one of the world’s biggest players. Participants in this year’s event include Coffee Branch, ADSA, Woods Bagot and the SA Parkour Association. Adelaide PARK(ing) Day 2013, photo by Jonanthan VDK
