Closing soon: nominations for 2014 Ruby Awards

The Ruby Awards are an annual congratu-well-done handshake to influencers and groundbreakers in the SA arts scene, recognising valuable contributions to the arts by organisations, events or individuals. Named for Dame Ruby Litchfield, the awards are not monetary, but are laden with honour and respect for creative endeavours. The Rubys are open to “artists (all art forms), facilitators, volunteers, cultural sector workers, community participants, private enterprise and not-for-profit organisations, as well as State and local government and regional organisations”, across six self-nominated categories and three others. Since the inaugural awards in 2006, groups such as Windmill Theatre, Barrio, Tuxedo Cat Theatre, Out Blak Adventures, Format Festival and many, many more.
