Rock ‘n’ Roll legend Bruce Springsteen is coming back to Australia for a second Wrecking Ball tour leg this February 2014.
The seven-date stadium tour will kick off in Perth on Feb 7, 2014, and will include The Boss and the E Street Band’s first-ever visit to Perth and Adelaide.
The band will be warming up Adelaide’s Entertainment Centre on Tue Feb 11, with tickets on sale from Mon Aug 26 through Ticketek.com.au.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band brought the Wrecking Ball tour to Australia earlier this year, performing near-three hour shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and at Victoria’s iconic Hanging Rock.
To help things along the way, Australian music legends Hunters & Collectors will be reforming to perform as special guests at Springsteen’s Melbourne AAMI Stadium concert.
Additional special guests will be Dan Sultan and The Rubens, who will play the Melbourne and Hunter Valley shows, and Jimmy Barnes, who will join the Boss in Auckland.
Springsteen and the E Street Band’s marathon performances, infectious energy and ability to captivate audiences did not go unnoticed with the Wrecking Ball tour being awarded the 2013 Helpmann Award for Best International Contemporary Concert and both fans and critics heralding it as the tour of the year.
In celebration of the tour news, it has just been confirmed that the critically-acclaimed documentary film Springsteen & I will return for special encore screenings in select cinemas across Australia and New Zealand between Aug 19 – 21.
Giving fans one #LastChance to experience this unique movie created for the fans, by the fans on the big screen, tickets to strictly limited encore sessions will be available from springsteenandi.com
