Step aside Day on the Green and make way for a Mobile Disco courtesy of Melbourne-based UK DJs Carl Cox and Eric Powell who are bringing a special New York guest with them – De La Soul.
To be held at S.C. Pannell on Sunday, November 13, Cox and Powell will dig their crates to spin disco, jazz-funk, soul and classic house while conscious hip hop group De La Soul (who were last in Adelaide for WOMADelaide) will perform a selection of their classics including A Roller Skatin’ Jam Named Saturdays, Stakes is High and Eye Know. While wineries are mostly known for hosting laid back crooners and singer/songwriters, Mobile Disco signals a new all-day music event for McLaren Vale.
