To be held on Sunday, November 20, Vineyard Party features two of dance music’s most respected veterans: the jazzy atmospheric drum ‘n’ bass innovator LTJ Bukem (Good Looking Records) and Adelaide’s own Late Nite Tuff Guy (HMC), who with his house edits of disco, funk and R&B rarities and hits, has carved a late-career resurgence as one of the globe’s edit maestros.
With the downfall of music festivals over the last few years, Vineyard Party is another showcase of wineries being the new home for curated musical afternoons/evenings across the state. To be held at Lindsay Wine Estate on Sunday, November 20, Vineyard Party is organised by Daniel Michael (Gluttony) and Toby Yap (Tomfoolery) and with this party, the organisers want to combine quality music, food and wine.
The wine will be provided by Lindsay Wine Estate while Ellie Beer will be responsible for the food. “The Barossa Valley has always been associated with quality,” the organisers say. “It’s no coincidence that we have picked the Valley as the place for Vineyard Party.
The event is all about quality music, food and wine. We started by talking about some of our favourite things, then we put them together and made some calls, then some more calls and we came up with this. “It seems like a bit of a fantasy to us also. Perfect setting with small capacity. It’s not supposed to be for thousands of people, it’s for the right people.”
