Patch Theatre appoints Geoff Cobham as artistic director

The pair represent a wealth of Australian theatrical talent and expertise. Cobham’s diverse career has seen him act as associate director of Force Majeur for ten years, inhabit multiple managerial roles at the likes of Adelaide Festival, Sydney Festival and WOMADelaide as well as his prolific work in lighting design.

Munn comes to Patch having recently worked as Adelaide Festival’s acting program director, and as general manager and executive producer at fellow children’s theatre company Windmill Theatre.

Patch Theatre’s chair Janet Worth said the company is “absolutely delighted” to have appointed Munn and Cobham, and looks forward to their tenure at the company.

“We are confident in their ability to curate a program of children’s theatre which is rich and unique,” said Worth in a release. “Their talent, experience and commitment to Patch will take us into an exciting phase for children’s theatre in Australia.”

Patch Theatre has announced Munn and Cobham’s appointment as the company approaches the end of current artistic director Naomi Edwards’ tenure. Munn will begin work at Patch in August this year, while Cobham will join the company from October.
