Professor Brian Cox will grace stages in most Australian capitals once again in 2017, as well as take his tour to New Zealand for the first time. Writer, comedian and actor Robin Ince will also join Cox for the tour. The pair frequently tour together, and co-host BBC Radio 4‘s The Infinite Monkey Cage.
With his star continually ascending, Professor Brian Cox has emerged as one of the foremost contemporary advocates for science. This year will mark the fourth tour Cox has brought to Australia in recent years, missing only 2015 in his roster of shows. Cox reached further prominence in Australia after appearing on ABC TV‘s Q&A program, bumping heads with climate change skeptic and One Nation senator Malcolm Roberts.
No format or topic has been specified as yet for the tour, but if Cox’s past tours are anything to go by, audiences should expect a humorous and engaging examination of scientific topics that might be otherwise difficult to fully comprehend.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale from 10am, Monday August 7, with ticketmaster.com.au and ticketmaster.co.nz, and pre-sale register available at lateralevents.com
