Adelaide Film Festival:
I Am Woman Australian premiere

A week ahead of its national release through streaming service Stan, Adelaide Film Festival presents the Australian premiere of I Am Woman.
Starring South Australia’s Tilda Cobham-Hervey as the iconic pop singer Helen Reddy, I Am Woman follow’s Reddy’s career from a single mother struggling to find a break in late 1960s New York, to a Grammy-winning star of film, television and the stage.
At its centre is Reddy’s signature song I Am Woman, which director Unjoo Moon uses as a prism through which to explore Reddy’s own career as the women’s liberation movement empowered women around America and Australia to demand equality and respect.
Adelaide audiences will be among the first in the world to see the film with a series of socially distanced premiere sessions at selected cinemas on Saturday 22 August (7pm) and Sunday 23 August (1pm).
