Indoor dining returns to Adelaide from today - here's what's reopening

Earlier this week the state government brought forward its timeline for easing COVID-19 restrictions. With limited indoor dining and alcohol service returning from today, here are the cafes and restaurants reopening their doors.

With zero active COVID-19 cases in the state and over a fortnight since any new cases were identified, the long and complex task of reopening South Australia has begun. This week, the state government confirmed it was moving its timeline forward to allow venues to resume alcohol service and limited indoor and outdoor dining, with more restrictions to ease on 5 June.

Restaurateurs are, by and large, in a similar position to the rest of us: keeping one eye constantly glued to their news feeds in preparation for the latest new updates and the hasty, incremental adaptations they invite.

Given the goal posts are still shifting, many venues are still working out their timelines for reopening. In fact, since initially compiling this list some venues, such as Osteria Oggi, have been informed their liquor licence category (small venue) in fact precludes them from reopening. They’re still doing takeaway and delivery.

Here’s a list of what we’ve been able to confirm – we’ll keep updating it as more news arrives.
