Adelaide food truck festival Fork on the Road is roaring back to Port Adelaide’s Hart’s Mill on Saturday, July 16. In keeping with the Fork’s penchant for rhyming and alliteration, the event is titled Winter Fork in the Port. “Fork on the Road is all about great things that are local: small business, those that make food from containers on wheels, those making boutique craft beer and cider, wine and for the first time spirits,” the Fork in the Road team explain in a press release.
Winter Fork in the Port will mark the second time Fork has taken place at Hart’s Mill
With a huge roster of food trucks on board (including old favourites such as Chimichurri Grill and Tacocat) there is a slew of new food slingers scheduled to join the fray including Tiger Rolls and Bohemian BBQ. The July event will mark the second time Fork has taken place in the eminently versatile Hart’s Mill, and will do so with the support of the local Port Adelaide Enfield Council and Renewal SA.
A brand new set of food trucks and experiences will be on show at this year’s edition of the popular festival
In a new addition to the time-honoured festival, Fork will, for the first time, sell spirits (from Adelaide Hills Distillery and Kangaroo Island Spirits) to patrons. This will sit alongside Fork’s plentiful selection of beverages from local brew-crews – Big Shed Brewers, Mismatch Brewing, Adelaide Hills Cider Company and Bickford’s. Families will be well taken care of on the day with plenty of space for kids, the nearby Hart’s Mill playground, as well as attractions Dino-a-Dino and Plaispace.
