From Saturday, April 29 to Sunday, May 7, Rundle Mall will host the Urban Pantry for the eight-day Tasting Australia 2017 festival. The pop up, located in Gawler Place, will feature samples and products from some of South Australia’s greatest food and beverage companies.
General Manager of Rundle Mall Management Authority, Amanda Grocock says it’s the perfect place for visitors and locals to sample some of SA’s best produce. “The Urban Pantry is a unique offer amongst the Tasting Australia calendar providing people the flexibility to experience the event in a convenient way – they don’t have to book or pay to visit, just enjoy tasting mouth-watering food from our great state,” Grocock says. “City workers can even pass through in their lunch break,” she adds.
With a focus on celebrating South Australian brands, The Urban Pantry is the perfect place to stock up your pantry with local flavours. “People visiting Rundle Mall can expect to taste a wide range of produce from across South Australia including cheese, smallgoods, olives, nuts and crackers, ice-cream, chocolate, honey, specialty coffee and tea, and more,” Grocock says.
Rundle Mall will also host a Grazing Trail from Friday, May 5 to Sunday, May 7, giving families and shoppers the opportunity to speak with local artisans. “Visitors to Rundle Mall can pick up their Grazing Trail bag at the Urban Pantry and follow the map at their own convenience to 10 different locations where Rundle Mall’s cafes, restaurants and retailers will provide free samples and tastings to add to their tote bag,” says Grocock.
Rundle Mall’s Urban Pantry and Grazing Trail will bring together 30 local brands, at the convenience of no bookings or cost. Tasting Australia will host an array of events all over South Australia from April 30 to May 7.
