The $3,000 award recognises innovative and exciting product design ideas that enhance the experience of consuming food and wine. Entries may include furniture, menus, textiles and fashion, glassware, tableware, utensils and lighting. The award is open to emerging designers anywhere in the world who have completed a design training or study program in South Australia in the last five years or who are currently completing one.

The judging panel for this year’s awards are: Jane Lawrence (UniSA), Brian Parkes (JamFactory), Sharon Romeo (FINO), Ryan Genesin (Genesin Studio) and Nathan Crane (The Adelaide Review). Finalists’ works will be exhibited at the Adelaide Airport with the People’s Choice Prize of $500 awarded to the most popular piece in the exhibition according to visitors. The award is an opportunity to showcase the talents of this state’s emerging talent, and celebrate Adelaide’s enduring food and wine culture .
