A media platform and series of companion events built around fostering community and solidarity among women in business and public life, Future Women was founded in July by former Australian Women’s Weekly Editor and journalist Helen McCabe. After a well-received launch in Sydney, the Off The Record series will make its way across the border in December.
Its first South Australian offering will pair two of the state’s most prominent political exports of the last 20 years – albeit from slightly different parts of the political spectrum. Former Australian Democrats leader, Senator and author Natasha Stott-Despoja will join former Foreign Minister and Liberal Party deputy leader Julia Bishop MP in discussion with McCabe and journalist and former Footy Show host Rebecca Maddern.

Stott-Despoja was also recently confirmed to deliver the International Women’s Day address as part of WOMADelaide’s Planet Talks series in March, where she will also be joined in conversation by Annabel Crabb.
Future Women’s Off The Record Garden Party will take place on Saturday, December 15 at an undisclosed location in Medindie, with bookings open now.
